"Gotta shoot for the stars!" At least that's the feeling I want. Blizzard currently has several openings, at least one of which I'm remotely qualified for. However, I need to develop a portfolio for presentation. I don't often draw orcs, elves, and boars, but I suppose it's worth a shot. A long shot, but possible nonetheless. I know it breaks with the overall visual motifs of World of Warcraft, but I think a Giger-esque style, might be fun to try.
In other news, I started studying Japanese writing again. What's that? I already know how to write Japanese? If you're referring to my blog, that's "typing" in Japanese. The computer helps me make some of the semantical choices and get past some of the homophones. However, writing by hand is an entirely different story.
I picked up an old text book and took the diagnostic test. The result? My reading and comprehension are still good, but the actual writing of characters... well... I'm studying, ok! Stuff I've forgotten comes back easily, so all is not lost.
Also, to help my listening skills, I've gone on a little trip around the internet to find some Japanese internet radio shows. Unfortunately, physical regional differences between our IP addresses renders streaming unavailable without proper recourse. Time for proxies! Now to find one on some topic I actually like.
Oh Summer, is it time for you to leave already? At least I won't be lonely. I hear Autumn's rap upon my door.

I think I depend on a large bottom final shot too much. What do you think? |
